In the world of fairy-tales - В мире сказок. Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку в 5 классе

Цель урока - повышение интереса к чтению на английском, и на русском языке.

Задачи урока:
  1. Развивать эстетическое восприятие учащихся.
  2. Развивать уважение и интерес к литературе Беларуси, России и страны изучаемого языка, развивать и поддерживать интерес к чтению.
  3. Воспитывать бережное отношение к книгам. 
  4. Совершенствовать умение излагать прочитанный материал в диалогической форме, совершенствовать навыки чтения. 
  5. Обучать учащихся использованию выразительного чтения вслух как одному из приемов формирования культуры устной речи, как средство эмоционального и логического осмысления текста

Оборудование:
карточки с названиями стран, сказок; тыква, ракушка, бутылка, яблоко, горшочек, расчёска, красная шапочка; карточки с отрывками из сказок; разрезанные на предложения сказки.

Ход занятия

1. Приветствие.
Hello, children. Glad to see all of you. Today we’ll have fun and play a bit. And, as usual, we’ll learn a lot of new things during the lesson.

2. Определение темы занятия.
And now let’s guess the topic of our lesson. Please, look at the blackboard. Name different letters and try to know the topic. (fairy-tales). Translate the title of the topic into Russian – what’s this? Yes, right you are – сказки.

Задание "Соотнеси страну и название сказки"

Look at the blackboard, please. Here you can see the names of the countries, such as Russia, Belarus and England. Match the names of the fairy tales and from what country they come.

English fairy tales:

Alice in Wonderland
Jack and the Beanstalk
The Star Child
Tom Thumb
Goldilocks and three bears

Russian fairy tales:

Golden Fish
Three bears
A Turnip
The Frog Princess
Vassilissa the Beautiful

Belarusian fairy tales:

A Clever Daughter
The Lost Word
The Cat, a Golden Forehead
Pilipka the son
Two Frosts

Игра "Бюро находок". "A Bureau of Finds.”

Look at the table. Here you can see different subjects. The characters have lost their things. Please, help them to find them. Name, please, these subjects and say whom they belong to. (На столе разложены различные предметы (некоторые из них могут быть нарисованы).
1. the bottle with a paper label "Drink me”. (Alice in Wonderland)
2. a pot (Winnie-the-Pooh)
3. an apple (Snow white)
4. a pumpkin (Cinderella)
5. a red hat (Red Riding Hood)
6. a shell (Mermaid)
7. a hair brush (Rapunzel)

For example. It is an apple. It belongs to Snow white.

The next task: I give you extracts from books and you must guess: What books are these extracts taken from?

1st team: "…this time she found a little bottle on it and tied round the neck of the bottle was a paper label with the words "DRINK ME, "beautifully printed on it in large letters.

It was all very well to say "Drink me, "but the wise little girl was not going to do that in a hurry;”
("Alice in Wonderland”).

2nd team: "He lived in the forest. He climbed and he climbed, and as he climbed he sang a little song to himself:

Isn’t a funny
How a bear likes honey?
Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!
I wonder why he does.”
("Winnie-the-Pooh.”)

1st team: "Peter wanted to talk to the fairies, but to his surprise they all ran away and hid when he came near. They shouted "There is a boy in the park.” Peter thought for a moment that he was the boy because he was a bird.” ("Peter Pan.”)


2nd team: "Remember said the fairy godmother you must leave the ball before the clock strikes twelve because at midnight the magic ends. "Thank you fairy godmother” said the girl and she climbed into the coach” ("Cinderella”).

You worked so nicely today! Now lets have fun and role play such fairy tales as "Turnip” and "A House in the Wood”. (см. Приложения)

Составление сказки по предложениям

Here are the fairy-tales, but the sentences are mixed. Which of your team will put them together correctly? Read, please your fairy-tales and try to guess their titles.

1st fairy tale "The Princess and the Pea”
Once there was a prince who was looking for a real princess.
He found many beautiful princesses but he didn’t like them.
In the end he came home, he was very sad.
One night, the weather was very bad and cold.
Somebody knocked at the door.
When the prince opened the door he saw a princess.
She was very wet and dirty.
When the princess wanted to sleep the prince put a pea in her bed.
She slept very bad and was very tired.
The prince knew it was a real princess.

2nd fairy tale "Cinderella”
Once upon a time there lived a young beautiful girl.
The girl was not happy because her stepmother didn't like her.
She did all the hard work, washed the dishes, tidied the rooms and cooked.
The prince was going to have a great ball.
Fairy godmother turned the girl’s ugly dirty dress into a beautiful one, she turned her shoes into glass slippers and a pumpkin into a carriage.
She went to the ball and danced with the prince.
She ran out at midnight and lost a shoe on the way out
The Prince found the shoe and went to every house to find the girl who lost that shoe.
He found a beautiful girl who lost that shoe.
The prince and she got married and they lived happily.

Very good children! Now it’s time to sum up. You’ve worked well today I like your work very much. Please, tell me how you have worked at the lesson today. For example. I haveworked well. I have worked badly. I have worked so-so.

Characters:

An Author: Once upon a time somewhere about there lived the grandfather and the grandmother.
The grandfather was a very good gardener he liked to spend a lot of time looking after his plants. In springtime he planted a turnip, a cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, grew dill and spring onion and many other vegetables. But the turnip was his favourite. The grandfather even used to sing songs for it.

A Grandfather: We had planted a little seed,
We took out all the weed.
So it grows and grows fast
And will bring the rich crop at last.

An Author: The turnip was growing bigger and bigger with the grandfather's songs and there came time to take it out.

A Grandfather: Came the happy, happy time
Taking out crops of mine.
Pooling, pooling my turnip
Can’t just do it - it's too big!
I should call grandmother for help. Grandma, grandma come over to help me to pool the turnip out.

A Grandmother: I am coming, I'll help you with your crops with the greatest pleasure, grandpa.

An Author: The grandmother holding on to the grandfather, the grandfather holding on to the turnip and they are both pooling hard, but cann't pool the turnip out.

A Grandmother: You know, grandpa, we wouldn’t be able to take the turnip out by ourselves. It’s too deep in the ground. Lets call our granddaughter to help us.

A Grandfather: It’s a very bright idea. Call our granddaughter to help us.

A Grandmother: Granddaughter, granddaughter come to help us to pool the turnip out.

A Granddaughter: I am coming, why didn’t you call me earlier? I bet you are tired already.

An Author: The granddaughter holding on to the grandmother, the grandmother holding on to the grandfather, the grandfather holding on to the turnip and they all are pooling hard, but can’t pool the turnip out.

A Granddaughter: I think we need more help. This turnip doesn’t want to get out easily. Let’s call Zhuchka to help us. Zhuchka, Zhuchka come to help us to pool the turnip out.

Zhuchka: Woof, woof I am in a hurry to come. Where is that stubborn turnip? We will quickly pool it out all together.

An Author: Zhuchka holding on to the granddaughter, the granddaughter holding on to the grandmother, the grandmother holding on to the grandfather, the grandfather holding on to the turnip and they all are pooling hard, but can’t pool the turnip out.

Zhuchka: It’s not so easy as I thought it would be. Let’s call the cat to help us. Kitty, kitty come down to help us to pool the turnip out.

A Cat: I am coming. Prrrrr, prrrrr we will pool the turnip out easily.

An Author: The cat holding on to Zhuchka, Zhuchka holding on to the granddaughter, the granddaughter holding on to the grandmother, the grandmother holding on to the grandfather, the grandfather holding on to the turnip and they all are pooling hard, but can’t pool the turnip out.

A Cat: I believe we need help. Let’s call the mouse. Mouse, mouse, little paws, come and help us to pool the turnip out.

A Mouse: I am happy to help, especially when all the family is working together.

An Author: The mouse holding on to the cat, the cat holding on to Zhuchka, Zhuchka holding on to the granddaughter, the granddaughter holding on to the grandmother, the grandmother holding on to the grandfather, the grandfather holding on to the turnip and they all are pooling hard and singing together.
All are singing: We are working very hard,
Pooling the turnip out of the mud,
All together we are so strong
We are singing a happy song.

An Author: And they pooled the turnip out! All of them were glad that the turnip was finally out. The grandma cooked the turnip and gave everybody a piece of a sweet and tasty turnip. When the mouse ate her piece of turnip she said.

A Mouse: It was so lovely.

An Author: The mouse licked her nose.

A Mouse: If you need my help next time, please don’t hesitate and call me again. I like the turnip so much.

A House in the wood

Here is a house in the wood, wood, wood.
A mouse running through the wood, wood, wood.
She stops at the door, door, door.
She knocks at the door, door, door.

The Mouse: Who lives in this house, house, house?
The Frog: I do. I am a frog. And who are you?
The Mouse: I am a mouse. May I live in your house?
The Frog: Yes, you may. Come in please!

Here is a house in the wood, wood, wood.
A cock running through the wood, wood, wood.
He stops at the door, door, door.
He knocks at the door, door, door.

The cock: Who lives in this house, house, house?
The Frog and the mouse: We do, a frog and a mouse. And who are you?
